Now, I responded to Jay, asking him for some basic information I need in order to try to troubleshoot for him (version of Windows, version of Office) but so far no response. I’m going to give it a go anyway.

(Note: These two are all just *possible* solutions; if one doesn’t work, try another. And if THAT doesn’t work, read the very last paragraph at the end of this post…)

• Possible solution #1: You have too many deleted items in your DeletedItems folder. See, when the deleted folder hits its size limit (and I don’t know what that is since there are so many variables (version of Outlook, on a corporate server or Exchange account, etc.), you’ve got to empty that Deleted Items folder and try again.
• Possible Solution #2: Your Outlook profile has been—as they say—”corrupted.” Create a new profile (don’t delete the old one) and see if you can delete items from THAT account.
