Saves the specified document with a new name or format. Some of the arguments for this method correspond to the options in the Save As dialog box (File menu).
expression**.SaveAs**(FileName, FileFormat, LockComments, Password, AddToRecentFiles, WritePassword, ReadOnlyRecommended, EmbedTrueTypeFonts, SaveNativePictureFormat, SaveFormsData, SaveAsAOCELetter, Encoding, InsertLineBreaks, AllowSubstitutions, LineEnding, AddBiDiMarks)
expression Required. An expression that returns a Document object.
- Microsoft Word Stuck in Save As Loop. I have a Microsoft Word document that is populated with content controls including repeating section content controls (600 total). Filling forms editing restrictions are in place on the document.
- May 16, 2017 Based on your description, you cannot save documents to local locations in Word for Mac. I would like to suggest you check the following: 1. Close all Office applications, restart your mac and check if the issue occurs. Create a new document and press COMMAND + Shift + S and click On My Mac to save the document to a folder on your mac.
- AutoSave is a different feature which automatically saves your file as you work - just like if you save the file manually - so that you don't have to worry about saving on the go. On the Mac, AutoSave is available in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for Office 365 for Mac subscribers. When AutoSave is turned on AutoRecover files are rarely needed.
- Word Online can’t encrypt a document with a password, and it can’t open documents encrypted with a password. If you want to protect the file with a password, click or tap Open in Word to open your document in the desktop version of Word. After you've added password protection, you’ll need to use the Word desktop program to open the document.
FileName Optional Variant. The name for the document. The default is the current folder and file name. If the document has never been saved, the default name is used (for example, Doc1.doc). If a document with the specified file name already exists, the document is overwritten without the user being prompted first.
WdSaveFormat
Dec 02, 2019 Since I upgraded to Word 2016 for mac from the online download store, I've had spotty saving capability, and now it has stopped saving 90% of the time. I even tried to copy and paste it into a new document and it still won't save. Save and save as are both not working, even after I have updated. Hi, What is the OS X Version and what is the Word.

You can set up a Mac to connect to a Microsoft Exchange mailbox by using the Mac Mail email client. We have separate guides for setting up a Standard or Advanced mailbox in Mac Mail. Note: Mac Mail allows you to send and receive email using your Microsoft Exchange mailbox but does not give you access to all the Exchange mailbox’s features. Mar 06, 2019 To set up Mac Mail: Open Mac Mail application. Select Mail Accounts. On the Internet Accounts page, select Exchange from the list. In the next window, fill out all necessary information and click Sign In when done. Name: your name as you want it displayed on emails; Email address: your Primary email address; Password: your mailbox password. Open the mail client (Mac Mail /Mail.app). At the top follow ‘Mail’ ‘Preferences’. Switch to the ‘Accounts’ tab. Click on the plus sign in the bottom left corner of the window. Enter your full name. Write down your full email address like so: mail@domain.com. Write down your password. Save by clicking on ‘Continue’.
Remarks
Security Avoid using hard-coded passwords in your applications. If a password is required in a procedure, request the password from the user, store it in a variable, and then use the variable in your code. For recommended best practices on how to do this, see Security Notes for Microsoft Office Solution Developers.
